About FGCL

FGCL, established since 1988, has extensive experience in the design, administration and supervision of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering projects in the private and public sectors.

Each project is managed from inception including concept, feasibility, schedule, planning, fire safety, detailed design, construction management and project handover, always ensuring the client’s requirements are realised in terms of quality, time scale and budget targets.

FGCL has developed specialist expertise in fulfilling the role of Assigned Certifier in accordance with the Building Control Amended Regulations (BCAR) and acting as PSDP on major projects

The Practice has a base core of highly experienced and committed Chartered Engineers, Technicians and Detailers, who form the nucleus of all project teams

Civil Engineering

At FGCL we provide a broad range of Consulting Engineering Services. Our highly qualified Engineers and Technicians employ cutting edge analysis and modelling software to provide a bespoke cost-effective solution to our Clients. All design is undertaken in accordance with up-to-date design guidelines and best practice

Structural Engineering

FGCL provides Structural Engineering Services. We place emphasis on cost effective economical design whilst providing the end user with flexibility and a structural solution. We provide Structural Engineering Services from one off designs to large scale commercial/industrial developments

Temporary Works

Temporary Works Design is an integral part of any construction project. Temporary works are the temporary part of the construction process required before permanent work can start. FGCL has provided this service on a range of projects. Our team provides specialist expertise in detailed Engineering analysis, tailored to our Client’s needs

Project Management

Our Project Mangers are highly experienced Engineers. We offer early-stage strategic advice followed by project management and delivery. We monitor, measure and track safety, schedule, cost and quality requirements throughout the full cycle of the project while ensuring project objectives are met.

Assigned Certifier

Building Control Amendment Regulations 2014 (BCAR), came into force on the March 01^st 2014 The amendments also introduced a “Code of Practice for inspecting and Certifying Buildings and work” and an online Building Control Management system (BCMS). FGCL have expertise in Design, Project Management, Health and Safety and Building/Construction regulations, providing the services of Assigned Certifier and Design Certifier on an array of projects

BIM

Building Information Modelling (BIM) has become an essential part of the project design process as it facilitates smart, efficient and robust designs, reducing Environmental impact and overall project costs. We use BIM to validate design choices, helping Clients explore the viability of a proposed combination of services and functions, to establish if the chosen design is “buildable”
